During this call, one of our dedicated team members will take the time to listen to your story—what you’re suffering from, what you’ve tried, and how we can help. This is more than just an appointment; it’s the start of a partnership where we focus on understanding you and your unique health challenges.
Step 2: The Two-Day Initial Visit—Where We Listen and Learn
Your initial visit with us is a comprehensive two-day experience that sets the foundation for your personalized care. On Day 1, you’ll spend about 90 minutes with one of our Certified Functional Medicine Providers. This isn’t your typical doctor’s visit. Here, we dive deep into your story. We ask meaningful questions like, “When was the last time you truly felt well?” and “How has your past played a role in what you’re experiencing today?” We listen because your story is the key to understanding the root causes of your health issues.
Next, we look at you, not just your symptoms. You’ll undergo a detailed Functional Medicine Exam, which includes an InBody Analysis. This state-of-the-art assessment reveals what you’re made of—your muscle, fat, bone, and water composition—giving us crucial insights into your body’s current state. We’ll also draw blood for a comprehensive set of labs, allowing us to see what’s happening inside you.
Step 3: The Follow-Up—Connecting the Dots
On Day 2, we bring it all together. During your follow-up visit, we review your story, your exam results, and your lab work to see how well—or how poorly—your body is functioning. This isn’t just about finding what’s wrong; it’s about crafting a personalized plan to get you feeling well and thriving. Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) is a powerful treatment method used for a variety of chronic health issues. At the Functional Medicine Center of New Jersey, we utilize HBOT to support conditions such as Lyme disease, tick-borne illnesses, mold and mycotoxins exposure, traumatic brain injuries (TBI), post-concussion syndrome, and post-operative recovery.
